Progress & Surprises (33.5 Weeks)

It has been an eventful few weeks.  My body seems to be expanding somehow, even though I feel like it is running out of room.  It has officially affected my balance.  I had a bit of a fall the beginning of last week. Everything was fine, but I did go for some routine monitoring.  That lead to a long evening at the hospital and a couple different medications because I was having a lot more contractions than I was aware of.  My doctor did a couple additional tests and they seem to be harmless contractions at this point.  Brooke should continue to hibernate for at least a few more weeks.  Hopefully these extra contractions are just getting me ready for a smooth delivery-----fingers crossed!!!!

Here is her growth update via babycenter.com:

33 weeks: Baby weighs as much as a pineapple

Your baby is proportioned like a pineapple when it comes to weight--  a little over 4 pounds.

(Length: more than 17 inches, head to heel.)

She feels much heavier than I pineapple!!!  Good grief.  Here is the fun part where we see how fat I have gotten.  That is currently a solid 19lbs heftier people.  I have officially starting feeling a bit uncomfortable.  I am very thankful that Texas is cooling down to accommodate me as I carry this excess around.

Jarrod is also making progress.....mentally ;)   He breezed right through his diapering and swaddling inservice.  He was a natural.  I am fully confident that he will excel even when the baby is moving and the diapers are full. 100%
He came...
He saw...
He listened intently...
and.....He CONQUERED!!!!
Husband Hicks has also been very busy preparing the nursery.  He finished repainting the changing table, hung my curtains, hunted down the out of stock mobile arm, got us a great deal on the new light fixture, and took down the fan.  The glider is finally ordered and I think we will have a crib soon.  Thanks to a surprise visit from the Potter's, we also have the chandelier installed and functioning.  It is all finally coming together and it is very exciting!
